MANILA, Philippines – No more hanging around for the majority of officials of the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) assigned all over the country starting next year.
Revenue Commissioner Kim S. Jacinto-Henares has required them "to personally punch in their respective bundy clocks at the prescribed time-in and time-out periods."
The bundy cards shall be signed by the employee and their immediate supervisor at the end of each month.
Ms. Henares came out with Revenue Memorandum Order No. 87-2010 to encourage all personnel to report on time and serve the taxpaying public promptly.
Exempted from the daily chores are the commissioner, deputy commissioners, head revenue executive assistants, regional directors, assistant regional directors, and revenue district officers.
The rest including division chiefs and assistant district officers are required to sign in and out. (Jun Ramirez)
